This Privacy Notice tells you when, how and why we collect your personal information. It also explains how we use the information you give us, and how we keep it secure. Aside from helping us design and build homes that people love living in, the personal information you share with us means you’ll receive a more personalised and rewarding experience e.g. updates on new developments, progress on a specific development, information on personalising your Richard Lloyd Home and products and services that make the house-buying process smoother and easier.

Personal information is any data that relates to you and identifies you, or can be used to identify you. When do you collect my personal information?

On the web

Generally, you can browse our website without giving us any personal information, but there are certain areas where we will ask you for information about yourself. The kind of information we collect in these instances will depend on the reason for your visit e.g. enquiring about a development, asking us to get in touch with you, keeping you informed.

In person

Completing a Richard Lloyd Homes enquiry form, or one of our home reservation forms also requires you to provide Richard Lloyd Homes with your personal information. The information you provide on these forms is then input into our systems to make our internal administration processes as smooth as possible, and provide you with an efficient service.

What kind of personal information do you collect about me?

We only collect the information that’s necessary to provide the particular service you’ve requested, and to keep you informed. This will include your name, contact details and how you prefer to be contacted. You can always choose not to give us certain information, but this may limit the level of service and personalisation we can offer you e.g. you may not get to hear about a development’s progress, or miss a show home opening.

How do you use my personal information?

We use the personal information you give us in a number of ways. Here are a few of the main ones; to offer you a personalised experience, to tell you about a show home event or provide you with updates you’ve asked for, to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information, to put you in touch with legal and financial professionals, to make the entire home-buying experience has smooth as possible.

How do you handle my personal information with other companies?

This is simple; we do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to any third parties for marketing purposes without your prior consent. If we do ask for your consent, we will tell you the name of the organisation or company at the time.

If we have your permission, we may give these companies or organisations access to your data to in order to perform certain services or promote complementary products or services; reserving a home, is a good example. However, we have checks in place to ensure anyone who provides a service for us adheres to our standards and only acts upon our instruction.

How do you ensure my personal information is secure?

Richard Lloyd Homes is committed to protecting the personal information you entrust to us. We have adopted robust and appropriate technologies and policies, so the information we have about you is protected from loss, unauthorised access and improper use.

How long will you keep my personal information?

We will keep your personal information for as long as necessary to provide the services you have chosen and to meet UK statutory requirements. This means, if you have not yet purchased a Richard Lloyd Home we’ll keep your information typically, for up to two years after your last contact with us. If you have purchased a Richard Lloyd Home we’ll keep it typically, for up to ten years reflecting the lifespan of your warranty.

How can I keep my personal information up to date?

We take all reasonable steps to check the accuracy of the personal information we collect and keep it up to date. Where possible, we give you access to your personal information so you can check and update it yourself.

How can I amend or delete the personal information you hold about me?

You have a right to see what personal information we hold about you, and have any mistakes or out-of-date information corrected. You can ask us to stop contacting you and delete your personal information from our records at any time. We will comply with your request within 28 days. If it looks as though circumstances could delay or prevent us from completing your request in that time, we’ll let you know. You can amend and update your existing marketing contact preferences at any time by emailing Richard Lloyd homes or you can call 01457 363 123 to update your preferences. Changes to your preferences may take up to seven days to take effect.

How do you use my information when I fill my details in to enquire through Facebook?

Richard Lloyd Homes will only contact you by you preferred contact method which you state at the time of filling in the form. You may be contacted in future for marketing purposes only.

Who is responsible for my personal information at Richard Lloyd Homes?

Richard Lloyd Developments Limited is the Controller of your personal information. We’ll let you know if this ever changes.
